Firms readied for £120m London park housing blocks job
Hackney Council is preparing to invite bids to build the final housing element of its scheme to regenerate an area next to Shoreditch Park in North London.The final element of its Britannia scheme, which has already seen Morgan Sindall build a leisure centre and new academy, will consist of four housing blocks.Blocks H3- H6 will range from three storeys to 25 and be phased under a single design and build contract.The Council is planning to hold a bidders’ day ahead of inviting tenders.The Britannia phase 2b Project will involve building nearly 400 homes with around 80 deemed to be affordable.Under the present timetable, Hackney Council aims to name a successful contractor in January 2023 with view to starting the phased building programme in March.Further information is available by emailing the council.
