Detailed Plans in for Major Cardiff Residential Scheme
Plans have been submitted seeking permission for a development of almost 200 houses at a location to the north west of Cardiff.Acting on behalf of Persimmon Homes (East Wales), Boyer has lodged a full planning application of up to 190 homes at land off Llantrisant Road, near J33 of the M4, at Capel Llanilltern. There are existing properties surrounding the site such as Ty Hafod Care Home to the north east and the grade II-listed St Ellteryn Church to the north.Alongside a mix of 28 property types, approval is sought for access from Llantrisant Road and associated infrastructure and landscaping. The proposal, which has been subject to pre-application discussions, relates to a site of approximately 40 acres.A proportion of the properties will be allocated for affordable housing with the mix and tenure to be agreed with the Local Planning Authority.A variety of materials will be proposed throughout the scheme with the aim of adding visual interest and minimising impact on the surrounding landscape.
