Green light tipped for more than 80 homes
An application proposing the creation of more than 80 homes on a Birmingham estate looks set to be green lit.Birmingham City Council is seeking the go-ahead to develop two sites at the Primrose Estate.Site A would comprise 46 one- to five-bed houses, along with an apartment block of six flats.Meanwhile, plans for site B include the construction of 30 apartments over three blocks. The application will be reviewed by the council’s planning committee on 7 July.A report for the committee said: “The proposed development of the application site for residential purposes is considered acceptable in principle and would make a meaningful contribution towards the council’s 5YHLS and affordable housing. The design and scale of development would accord with the pattern and style of development in the vicinity and would establish a net biodiversity gain on the site through new landscape and SuDS.”
