Ashford scheme set for green light
An independent living apartment scheme in Ashford could soon be backed.The plans concern the Oakleigh House sheltered housing scheme on the corner of Beaver Lane and Watercress Lane.Lined up is demolishing the building and bringing forward a new venture comprising 51 apartments across a number of three-storey buildings.Also proposed are a trio of homes.Further accommodation for adults with learning disabilities would be built nearby across 13 apartments.Both developments would be arranged around open courtyards.The application is set to go before Ashford Borough Council’s planning committee on 13 July, with a recommendation for approval.
