135-home residential scheme gets underway in Northamptonshire
Avant Homes has begun work on a £35m residential scheme in Desborough, Northamptonshire.The 135-home development, located on an 11.5-acre site off Buxton Drive and Eyam Close, was green lit by Kettering Borough Council in March 2022.The first homes at Viridian Meadows will be released for sale this autumn.Avant Homes has made a £1.4m community contribution to support highway works, town centre improvements, libraries and public transport in the area.Rob Slocombe, managing director at Avant Homes, said: “We’re very pleased to have works underway on the first homes of this new development in Desborough. The development will make a great addition to the area by forming a natural extension of the residential area in the town and create job opportunities for local people.“We’re hugely excited to get started at Viridian Meadows and look forward to see the development works progressing over the coming months.”
