Affordable Shropshire scheme brought forward
Almost 70 affordable homes have been proposed for a residential area in Shropshire.Lovell has brought forward proposals to build 67 properties on land at Glebe Street. Wellington.The application site currently contains 130 apartments in 14 blocks, which are due to be demolished.Lovell’s plans comprise one-, two- and three-bed homes, split between houses, bungalows and apartments. The accommodation will be managed and maintained by Wrekin Housing Group.A total of 112 car parking spaces would also be provided across the site.A statement filed with Telford & Wrekin Council on behalf of the applicant said: “The development will deliver 67 modern, fit for purpose family homes, bungalows and apartments, which are much-needed in Telford and Wrekin.”The development will also involve the redevelopment of a poor quality, run-down site on a prominent location on the approach to Wellington town centre.”
