A pipeline has been launched for Consultancy Services for the Maintenance of Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEAs), Including the Provision of a New Sea, to Support Offshore Energy Licensing/Leasing Rounds.The contract start Date is 1 April 2023. Approach to market date is 31 October 2022.BEIS is responsible for administering relevant environmental legislation including, implementation of the Environmental Assessment of Plans and Programmes Regulations 2004 ‘the SEA Regulations’ (or its future equivalent) to undertake an SEA (or its future equivalent) to inform its decision on government plans and programmes covering offshore oil and gas, offshore gas and carbon dioxide storage, offshore renewables and hydrogen.
