Garden village homes plans lodged
Plans to build more than 100 homes have been lodged as part of a wider masterplan for a garden village in Knowsley.Vistry Partnerships North West has submitted an application to Knowsley Council, seeking permission to build 120 properties on land to the south of Lickers Lane, Halsnead Garden Village, Whiston.The eight-acre site forms part of the wider garden village blueprint for up to 1,600 houses.A mix of two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments and homes are proposed in the latest development.Planning documents said the level of affordable housing proposed, if any, will be confirmed during the determination of the application.Vehicular access for the development would be off Lickers Lane. In total, 252 parking spaces are proposed.A design and access statement submitted as part of the application said: “The site has undergone an extensive design review, in close collaboration with the client, the consultant team, and the local authority. The result is an attractive residential development, which will positively contribute to the local area, and will fit well within its surroundings.””The development will deliver a range of high quality three- and four-bedroom homes and two-bedroom apartments, positioned within a highly sustainable location and will make a valuable contribution to local housing supply.”
