Approval for Cornwall scheme
Plans for a 40-strong residential development in Cornwall have been backed.Outline approval was sought for up to 40 properties in March 2022, with affordable housing also proposed. However, Cornwall Councils planning committee turned the scheme away with the proposal being considered to result in an “unsympathetic extension of the built form into the open countryside, which would outweigh the benefits of affordable housing, as well as highway and pedestrian safety”.While an appeal has been launched, the applicant has looked to address the reasons for refusal in the meantime. The revised application has now gone before committee and has been approved.
