Pipeline Framework: Data Platform
A pipeline has been launched for Data Platform. The contract start Date is 3 April 2023. Approach to market date is 6 February 2023.The Satellite Applications Catapult is delighted to be working with a global engineering company on behalf of the Brazilian Government. With support of the UK Embassy in Brazil, in phase 1 we have ensured this work encompasses a space element, to showcase the role and potential of satellite technology in this high profile environment and demonstrate the UK capability. The first phase (phase 1a) of this programme incorporated an Interferometric SAR (InSAR) analysis over a single site containing two Tailings Storage Facility structures of interest. In phase 2 we will build upon this early demonstration of value to support the longer term future expansion to many more TSFs in one State. To support this work, the Satellite Applications Catapult are looking to procure a supplier to deploy a data distribution platform, to provide access to various datasets to distribute data to downstream decision support tools. The platform is anticipated to be based around the STAC and WFS Features API specifications. This is a potential opportunity from the government, and the pipeline gives advance notice of an opportunity that might be offered by the public sector in the future – allowing potential suppliers to plan accordingly. When a public sector organisation publishes a pipeline notice, it does not necessarily mean that an opportunity will be offered in the future. For more information contact: Satellite Applications Catapult, Electron Building, Fermi Avenue, Harwell, Didcot OX11 0QR.
