4. Description: An upgrade of the existing Sportspark pool’s Drowing Dection System (DDS), following a review of the current safety provision, to provide an additional layer of detection system by way of visual signposting and audible alarms, giving 100% visibility of the pool at all times.
The upgrade systems incorporates developments in AI and technology since the original installation in 2014 without the need for removal of the current infrastructure, pool closure, re-training and other operational impacts and safety risks.
The upgrade will monitor all swimmers from 50cm below the surface with 2 stages of early alerts by way of a visual signposting before a final alarm is activated. A single action tender was completed for this request.
