Pipeline Framework: Brook Mead School Refurbishment

A pipeline has been launched for Brook Mead School Refurbishment.The contract start Date is 12 June 2023. Approach to market date is 8 March 2023.This work is on behalf of the Department for Education.Refurbishment of an existing Victorian building (former school) to provide new teaching and education spaces in the building to accommodate secondary school pupils. Works to be completed to allow teaching to commence for the new school year at the end of August 2023.Work consists of light and heavy refurbishment, i.e. painting and decorating of existing spaces (previously refurbished in 2018), through to full M&E installations and movement of partition walls for previously untouched spaces.Works will likely include asbestos removal.Contractor will also need to provide ICT installations and fixed and loose furniture.This is a potential opportunity from the government, and the pipeline gives advance notice of an opportunity that might be offered by the public sector in the future – allowing potential suppliers to plan accordingly.
