Residential and wellbeing scheme set to advance
An application proposing the creation of new wellbeing and residential facilities in Wolverhampton could soon move forward.City of Wolverhampton Council is seeking outline planning permission to transform the site of Oxley Moor House and Oxley Training Centre on Probert Road.The site comprises a former day centre and training centre, and is currently a vacant council asset.Plans include the construction of a two-storey health and wellbeing facility, along with a three-storey residential building.Lined up is the provision of GP services, council-led health services, community spaces, pharmacy, community nursing, family services, bookable meeting spaces and a staff area.The new homes consist of 20 one-bed and three two-bed apartments.The council’s planning committee will consider the plans on 21 March.A report for the committee said: “The proposal is acceptable and overall is in accordance with the development plan.”
