Willmott Dixon wins £40m London health centre

Allies & Morrison designed the new health centre and key worker flatsWillmott Dixon has been chosen by London’s Hounslow Council and the NHS to deliver a £40m health centre in Chiswick.The Chiswick Health Centre will replace an existing facility and will offer a broader range of GP services, including community and mental health services.Designed by Allies & Morrison, the new facility will include consulting and examination rooms, district nurse facilities and community rooms.The project will also deliver 55 affordable homes for key health workers such as nurses and physiotherapists in a separate but associated building that will site around a landscaped central courtyard.The new Health Centre is set to open in Autumn 2024 and was procured through Pagabo’s Major Works Framework.It continues a track record for Willmott Dixon in community-based healthcare facilities that includes the Tessa Jowell Health Centre in Dulwich, Whitehouse Medical Centre in Milton Keynes and Grove View Health and Care Hub in Dunstable.The client team includes structural engineer Evolve and services engineer Insignis, with cost consultancy provided by Quantem.
