Approval for Worcester schemes third phase
The third phase of a Persimmon Homes development on the edge of Worcester has been approved.Nineteen properties make up the third phase of the wider Whittington Walk scheme, which – upon completion – will bring up to 300 homes to the city.Of the 19 homes, five will be transferred to a housing association partner for social rent, with two available through the government-backed First Homes initiative.Russell Griffin, managing director at Persimmon Homes South Midlands, said: “We’re delighted to have received approval for 19 further homes at Whittington Walk and I want to thank Wychavon District Council for their support.”Not only will this phase deliver 19 quality new homes, it will also create local jobs as part of the construction, generating an investment in the local economy.”We’re committed to creating vibrant, successful communities and supporting more local families in getting their dream homes.”We’ll continue to work in partnership with the council and other stakeholders to ensure our developments deliver real benefits for the communities they are based in.”
