II.1.4) Short Description: DCC is delivering various projects in Bishop Auckland, including Locomotion visitor offer enhancements improvements and 18km walking and cycling along Stockton to Darlington Railway route.
The LUF expenditure must be spent by March 2024.
As part of the Locomotion visitor offer enhancements improvements and 18k walking and cycling along the Stockton and Darlington Railway route the Council are working in partnership with Stockton and Darlington to deliver interpretation along the route.
To deliver the interpretation a consultant is required to provide specialist support and expertise in the detailed design and development of the interpretation.
Initially Tees Valley Combined Authority lead on interpretation and undertook a competitive procurement exercise resulting in the awarded of contract to Bright White.
Bright White have produced an interpretation strategy which includes costings, concept design and provisional programme.
The programme outlines 52 weeks for construction of the interpretation boards taking us to March 2024.
Due to funders requirements, it is critical for the project to be complete by 31st March 2024 and therefore a direct award to Bright White is critical.
