Leisure pods set for approval
A proposed development of leisure pods on a former school site in Blaenau Gwent could soon secure approval.The application site concerns the Old School Site, Troedrhiwgwair, Tredegar, with proposals for the provision of four detached leisure pods including landscaping and services.The pods would be used for leisure and tourism use.Currently, the site consists of an unused parcel of land comprising of an old concrete plinth and stone walls from the school that has since been demolished and shrubland.The application will be considered by Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council’s planning committee on 7 September and is recommended to be granted planning permission, subject to conditions, in an officer’s report prepared for the meeting.
