Detailed plans for the development of 80 homes in Leicestershire as part of a wider mixed-use project are to go back before planners after being deferred at a previous meeting.Cadeby Homes is seeking reserved matters approval to develop land adjacent to Grange Road in Hugglescote, Coalville. The site forms part of the South East Coalville Urban Extension, for which Harworth Group is master developer.Outline permission exists for up to 2,700 residential properties and a range of commercial facilities.A statement filed with North West Leicestershire District Council on behalf of the applicant said: “The proposed development complies with all conditions imposed upon the outline planning permission, as well as the provisions of the S106 agreement and the design code.”Accordingly, the proposed development represents sustainable development as envisaged by the National Planning Policy Framework, which requires such proposals to be approved without delay.”The application went before planning committee members on 16 August but was deferred to allow a highway safety audit to be carried out.A prior report for the committee said “the principle of the development has already been established by way of the outline planning permission”.It will now be considered on 12 September with a recommendation for approval.
