Leicester factory set for demolition to make way for housingPlanning officers have approved the demolition of an abandoned factory in Leicester to make room for new housing.Seventeen new homes, described as “family homes” by the applicant, Mr Doshi, will be constructed on Disraeli Street near Leicester’s Aylestone Meadows.The new homes will include four two-bedroom houses, one three-bedroom house, and twelve four-bedroom houses, featuring a combination of two and three-story buildings in both terrace and semi-detached designs.All the new homes will have driveways, and the development will offer access to public transportation and cycle routes, according to planning officers.
