500 jobs on the horizon with chance of warehouse development approvalA warehouse complex in Mansfield is set for approval.The development is planned to occupy a significant portion of farmland situated between the A617 and A6075 Abbott Road in Mansfield.The project is awaiting the decision of Mansfield District Council’s planning committee, scheduled for Monday, October 23, to transform the area into six employment units.Primarily designed for warehousing, logistics and office use, the site will include 417 car parking spaces and aims to generate 500 jobs.According to planning records, the site’s layout has undergone recent modifications due to initial concerns raised by council planning officers.The regeneration department of Mansfield District Council has stated that this development has the potential to enhance job prospects and stimulate the local economy.Under section 106 financial contributions will include £231,000 bus service contributions, £7,816.50 to mitigate the impact of birds, the submission of a travel plan and an agreement for the maintenance of landscaping around the site.The application for the project was presented by Agent Commercial Estates Projects Ltd in collaboration with HBD.
