New homes planned for Alfreton
Proposals have been submitted for the development of up to 185 homes in Alfreton.Gladman Developments Ltd is behind plans to develop approximately 22.1 acres of land west of Chesterfield Road.Lined up is a range of densities and types, including a 30 per cent allocation of affordable housing.About 8.7 acres of formal and informal open space has also been proposed.A statement filed with Amber Valley Borough Council on behalf of the applicant said: “The development of the site, as proposed, would be both suitable and sustainable, and there is justification to grant planning permission in accordance with the presumption in favour of sustainable development within Amber Valley.”
