Keynsham industrial units to go back before committee
A pair of industrial units lined up for a site in Keynsham could soon be backed. The proposed development site is located within the southern half of Pixash Business Centre, in the east part of Keynsham.Proposed are industrial units covering 5,243 sq ft each, with the duo sized as flexible to meet the needs of a range of potential end users. It was resolved at a Bath & North East Somerset Council planning committee meeting on 20 September that a decision be deferred on the application for several reasons. It is now set to go back before committee on 15 November with a recommendation for approval.A report drawn up ahead of the meeting said: “Section 38(6) of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 requires that the decision of whether or not to grant planning permission must be made in accordance with the development plan unless material considerations indicate otherwise.”It is considered that the points raised by committee at the 20/09/23 committee meeting have been fully addressed in the transport key issue above.”The proposal complies with the relevant local plan polices, as outlined above, and therefore complies with the development plan as a whole consistent with the above legislation.”
