175 homes proposed for Lincolnshire village
Hybrid plans have been lodged for the development of 175 homes in a Lincolnshire village.Allison Homes has brought forward proposals for land at Low Road, Barrowby. The site extends to approximately 19.2 acres and constitutes a single agricultural field. The full element of the scheme includes the 175 properties, which include a mix of two to four bedrooms, 30 per cent of which would be affordable.About 5.7 acres of land earmarked for new community space is proposed in outline.”The scheme will significantly boost the supply of housing by providing 175 new dwellings in a wholly sustainable location and will assist the council in maintaining a housing land supply,” a planning statement. It will also provide a significant number of affordable homes in an area where delivery is significantly below need.”This is a significant material consideration in the context of the NPPF and while we are grappling with a national housing crisis.”
