Sustainable homes planned for site next to Wentworth golf course

Bellway has revealed details of its plans for a new housing development on land neighbouring the Wentworth golf course in Virginia Water.The housebuilder has applied for detailed planning permission to construct 67 homes on a four-acre site north of Trumps Green Road previously owned by the Wentworth Estate.The development is to be called Regent’s Gate and will feature a mix of apartments and houses, alongside green open space including a play trail.All homes will have access to an electric vehicle charging point while air source heat pumps will be used to heat the apartments.Rob Sapsford, managing director of Bellway South London, said: “Our team has been highly focused on creating a plan for Regent’s Gate that is precisely tailored to this area of Virginia Water.”This is reflected not only by the design of the homes, which include architectural features such as ornate window designs and stone detailing inspired by existing buildings in the area, but also in the provision of green space which respects the site;s edge-of-woodland setting.”
