Work begins on Derbyshire residential conversion
Work has begun on a new residential scheme at Manor Farm in Mickleover, where existing disused farm buildings are being converted into homes.Collaborating with the site owners Chevin Homes, Matthew Montague Architects from Ashbourne is the architect on the scheme.It includes five bungalows and one house and aims to preserve the surrounding area by focusing on low-density development and maintaining views.Environmental sustainability is also a priority, with landscaping designed to increase biodiversity.Architect Matthew Montague said: “I have been involved with this site for over five years, working with Chevin Homes most recently to gain approval, for the last two, however planning discussion go back as far as 2014, so it has been a longtime in the pipeline, largely due to the sensitive location.”
