Pipeline Framework: Children’s Home Placements – Expression of Interest
A pipeline has been launched for Children’s Home Placements – Expression of Interest. The contract start Date is 1 June 2024. Approach to market date is 1 April 2024.The London Borough of Bromley is seeking to commission a residential care provider able to deliver up to 5 children’s home placements across multiple children’s homes within their estate. The contract would be for one year with an option to extend for a further year. The first step of the procurement process is to engage with the market through this Expression of Interest. This Expression of Interest will be open for a period of 2 weeks and will inform the Council’s decision on whether to pursue this type of contract in the future. The Council will also use the outcome of the Expression of Interest to inform any potential future tender process that the Council may undertake in due course (anticipated to commence in April 2024).For consideration of this project, we are seeking Expressions of Interest from providers that can satisfy the criteria below.1 Provisions for up to 5 young people, aged between 11-15, mixed genders.2 The provider will consider emergency / same day or short notice placements for young people who are at immediate need / require an emergency placement.3 Providers should be able to accommodate young people for both short and longer term placements in line with their care plans4 Additional support to be in place or can be accessed for young people with multiple / complex needs.5 Providers will have some provision for young people subject to DOLS (Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards)6 Placements provided as part of this contact, must be located in a children’s home which is registered and has a good / outstanding OFSTED rating.7 The London Borough of Bromley has a maximum budget of £4,600 per placement and week. The provider must be able to work within this budget. This is a potential opportunity from the government, and the pipeline gives advance notice of an opportunity that might be offered by the public sector in the future – allowing potential suppliers to plan accordingly. When a public sector organisation publishes a pipeline notice, it does not necessarily mean that an opportunity will be offered in the future. For more information contact: London Borough of Bromley, Bromley Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley BR1 3UH.
