Housing plans lodged for Brigg site
Plans have been lodged to develop more than 100 homes on a site in Brigg.Gleeson Regeneration has submitted a full planning application to North Lincolnshire Council for a residential development on agricultural land off Grammar School Lane.Planning permission is sought for the construction of 112 homes, as well as new access.A mix of bungalows, semi-detached detached properties are planned, with between two and four bedrooms.A planning statement submitted as part of the application said the proposed development would bring forward a “sustainably located longstanding housing allocation” and “support for the employment of 334 people, including the provision of three apprenticeships”.It added: “An increase in available homes to the market will assist in allowing people to get on the housing ladder, and in freeing up rental properties.”The scheme would also provide increased spending power for local shops and services in Brigg, and generate £1.3m in annual tax revenue.
