Detailed plans for the first phase of a major residential development in Derbyshire have been approved.Harron Homes sought reserved matters approval to build 143 homes on land south of Worksop Road, Mastin Moor.Outline permission was granted earlier this year for the development of up to 650 dwellings, a residential care facility and a local centre. The first phase includes a mix of two- to five-bed properties, 5 per cent of which will be affordable.”The proposals will deliver a high-quality new residential development that will relate well to the overall housing allocation,” a statement filed on behalf of the applicant said. “Reserved matters proposals represent a suitable and appropriate design solution for the site and meet the requirements of relevant policy and the outline consent.”A report for the committee said: “This reserved matters submission for the phase one housing element is considered to be acceptable in terms of creating an appropriate form of housing development in line with the aims of the development framework secured as part of the outline permission.”Approval has been granted, subject to conditions.
