90-home Flintshire plans set for approval
Plans for 90 homes in Flintshire have been recommended for approval ahead of a meeting today (10 April).Land to the south of New Brighton Road, New Brighton, Mold, has been earmarked for the residential development by Stewart Milne Homes (North West England) Ltd). The scheme includes the provision of affordable units, areas of public open space, landscaping and associated works. The application was deferred at a previous planning committee meeting, with members seeking further information concerning a safe route to schools.Flintshire County Council will now once again discuss the application.A report for the committee added: “The site is an allocated housing site in the LDP. The sustainable nature of the development and its location, that would also provide the full complement of affordable housing in accordance with the relevant policy requirement, suggest that the development is acceptable in principle.”The layout, public open space provision, biodiversity enhancements and other detailed technical considerations are considered to be acceptable and in accordance with policy.”Approval has been recommended, subject to conditions.
