A pipeline has been launched for Provision of a Community based autism service for people of all ages with autism and/or learning disabilities across Havering.The contract start Date is 1 August 2024. Approach to market date is 15 April 2024.London Borough of Havering is seeking a provider to deliver a community based All Age Autism service offer for people with Autism and LD to reduce demand on statutory services. This contract will be a total length of 3 years with a possible 2-year extension. This must be an all-age offer to complement our recently published All-Age Autism Strategy 2023-25.We are looking to commission a community based service catering to individuals of all ages on the autism spectrum who are receiving no or little existing support. The service will prioritise offering information and advice, peer support and activity groups, while collaborating with health, education and employment partners to improve outcomes and raise autism awareness. The service will also assist individuals through the diagnostic process, providing pre-diagnosis and parent/carer support groups. Our aim is to empower individuals, promote independence and facilitate self-management. The service will operate from community buildings in both the northern and southern parts of the borough to ensure inclusivity and responsiveness to the boarder autistic community’s needs’This is a potential opportunity from the government, and the pipeline gives advance notice of an opportunity that might be offered by the public sector in the future – allowing potential suppliers to plan accordingly.
