Avant Homes earmarks Burbage site for £20m scheme

Avant Homes East Midlands has filed proposals for the £20m development of more than 80 homes in the village of Burbage, near Hinckley.Named Chestnut Acres, the proposed 4.86-acre development will be located off Lychgate Lane and consist of 82 two-, three- and four-bedroom properties.Avant Homes East Midlands has also committed to community contributions of about £900,000 towards the provision of local services, education and healthcare.Ben Felton, Avant Homes East Midlands managing director, said: “With easy access to local amenities, Leicester and the wider East Midlands region, we think Burbage is an excellent place for us to build.”We know there is a high demand for the type of practically designed, energy efficient new homes that we build from people living locally or thinking of moving to the area.”Our Chestnut Acres development will feature a mix of practically designed, energy efficient new homes at a range of price points that will enable more people to make their next homeowning step a reality.”We now look forward to Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council considering our plans.”If given the go ahead by Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council, work is expected to start on site in early 2025, with the first residents anticipated to move into their new homes in the autumn of 2025.
