Persimmon lodges Dickens Heath plans
Persimmon has lodged plans for a housing development which aims to create a “sustainable addition” to Dickens Heath. The housebuilder is seeking full permission for a scheme on undeveloped land to the north of Tythe Barn Lane. The site is currently designated as green belt in the adopted Local Plan but within a strategic allocation and proposed to be removed from the green belt through the Local Plan Review.Lined up is a mix of one- to four-bed properties, 40 per cent of which would be affordable.A design and access statement filed with Solihull Council said: “Our vision is to create a high-quality and sustainable addition to Dickens Heath and the existing community.”The development offers an opportunity to integrate the site with the immediate area, enabling the sustainable growth of the settlement by providing new homes and valuable green infrastructure to support the wider community.”
