Bellway Salisbury development set for approval
Bellway Homes could soon secure approval for almost 90 homes in Salisbury. The housebuilder wants to build 86 homes on land to the east of Odstock Road and to the south of Rowbarrow in the city. There would also be garages, car barns and refuse cycle stories and the creation of a new vehicular access to Odstock Road.Lined up also is the lay out of internal roads, including drives and pavements and provision of public open space, play areas and landscape planting. The application was granted planning permission, subject to the applicant first entering into a section 106 legal agreement, by Wiltshire Council’s Southern Area Planning Committee in 2022A report for the committee said the legal agreement is now nearly finalised, although it has not yet been completed and the planning permission has not currently been issued. The report is now seeking to update the committee on changes which have occurred following the resolution to grant approval of the scheme in April 2022It added that the proposed housing scheme remains as previously assessed and “considered acceptable”.The recommendation remains to grant approval of the development, subject to a suitable section 106 legal agreement and conditions.Wiltshire planners will meet on Thursday (16 May).
