Hillier Garden Centre unveils expansion plans
Hillier Garden Centre has announced plans to expand its Chichester garden centre, which will see the provision of a greater range of goods and services for customers.The development will create employment opportunities and provide apprenticeships and training programmes for the local community.With a focus on sustainability, the expansion aims to reduce carbon emissions and significant commitments have been put in place to improve biodiversity.A restaurant will also be opened as part of the construction of a new community space.George Hillier, chairman of Hillier Garden Centres, said: “These proposals would future proof the site and bring it up to date with our environmental targets.”We are excited to see the improvements this will bring for our customers and their experience at the centre, together with the creation of further benefits and training opportunities for the local community.”A public consultation is now being held to seek the community’s feedback on the plans.
