Avant Homes agrees first partnership with Trent & Dove

Housebuilder Avant Homes East Midlands is delivering 16 new homes for Trent & Dove at Cadley Park in Swadlincote after agreeing a £3.6m partnership deal with the housing association.The partnership is the first the housebuilder has done with Trent & Dove and marks the first time Avant Homes East Midlands has undertaken a deal of this type in the region.The housebuilders says it forms part of its multi-tenure strategy, which sees the company provide homes for private sale, the private rental sector (PRS), and additional affordable housing.Phil Lacey, Avant Homes’ group head of affordable housing delivery, said: “Our multi-tenure strategy is underpinned by our vision of providing quality new homes for everyone. Our partnership with Trent & Dove at Cadley Park is a clear demonstration of us delivering on our vision and we hope it is the first of many with them.“Due to the success of our Cadley Village development in Swadlincote, we know the town is a popular place to live and Trent & Dove’s affordable homes will contribute to the thriving community that is there. We also know the successful delivery of affordable housing is essential to provide more homes for the people who need them most.“Avant Homes is determined to create a positive, long lasting social impact through its multi-tenure strategy. We are actively engaged in conversations with registered social landlords and PRS providers across our business and look forward to announcing more partnerships in due course.”Construction of the new energy efficient homes is well underway, Avant says, and the housing mix being delivered at Cadley Park comprises three and four-bedroom detached and semi-detached properties.The Nottingham-based company expects to be in a position to have handed over all the completed homes to Burton-on-Trent-headquartered Trent & Dove shortly.Charlie Riley, development director at Trent & Dove, said: “We’re delighted to partner with Avant Homes to deliver 16 new affordable homes for our customers.
