Homes being developed for housing association in deal worth £4.3mAvant Homes West Yorkshire is constructing 20 new homes for Bradford-headquartered Manningham Housing Association at Odette’s Point in Keighley, after agreeing a £4.3m deal with the housing provider.The partnership marks another step in the business’s delivery of its multi-tenure strategy and is the first the housebuilder has secured with Manningham Housing Association within West Yorkshire.The multi-tenure strategy seeks to maximise housing supply though the provision of new homes for private sale, the private rental sector (PRS) and additional affordable housing.Construction of the new Keighley homes is underway, and comprises three and four-bedroom detached and semi-detached properties.Avant Homes has handed over 11 homes to Manningham Housing Association and expects to complete the remaining nine by the end of the year.Group head of affordable housing delivery, Phil Lacey, said: “Our vision of providing quality new homes for everyone is what underpins our multi-tenure strategy.“Our deal with Manningham Housing Association is a perfect example of us delivering on our vision. The continued success of the development highlights the demand for these types of homes within the popular Bradford district.“Manningham Housing Association’s affordable homes at Odette’s Point will contribute to the growing and diverse community in the area, while providing homes for the people who need them most.”This news follows the developer’s confirmation that it is delivering 16 new homes for affordable housing provider Trent & Dove at Cadley Park in Swadlincote after agreeing a £3.6m partnership deal.Lacey added: “We’re determined to create a positive, long lasting social impact through our multi-tenure strategy.“We are actively engaged in conversations with registered social landlords and PRS providers across our business and look forward to announcing more partnerships in the future.”Tracie Naylor, regeneration manager at Manningham Housing Association, said her organisation is pleased to be collaborating with the developer to provide essential, new and affordable housing.Wakefield-based Avant Homes West Yorkshire currently has nine live projects ranging from Odette’s Point in Keighley to Sorby Park in Waverley.The company is part of the Avant Homes Group, which works across the north of England, Midlands and Scotland from eight regional operating businesses.
