Second phase of affordable homes given go ahead in Speyside
Second phase of affordable homes given go ahead in SpeysideThe homes represent the second phase of development, following the approval of 39 affordable homes last year. The site spans 4.8 acres and is well-located close to the A95. The homes will include one, two, four and five bedroom homes – including bungalows – that will meet the needs of local people. The energy efficient, high-quality homes have been thoughtfully designed to fit in with the rural setting of the village. The wider development includes walking, jogging and cycle routes to the wider community to encourage active living, a play area for children and a striking stone feature wall at the entrance.Springfield managing director for affordable housing, Tom Leggeat, said: “The decision to give phase two of this development the green light represents brilliant news for local people and will allow us to build on the work we have already started as part of the first phase.“We know that there is demand for high-quality, energy efficient homes in the area. The delivery of energy efficient homes will help address this local need, increasing good quality housing options for people looking to stay in this community.”
