The Ministry of Health is seeking the supply of medical waste treatment equipment for the treatment of medical waste.
Description
The Ministry of Health and Wellness is looking for a microwave medical waste disposal system. The unit must be of microwave technology with the following:
the capacity to treat 70 tons monthly
a small foot print – provide footprint dimensions
a simple design that is easy to maintain
ease of access to maintenance support and spare parts
respond to critical malfunction/breakdown within 24hours
an innovative internal shredding/rotating blades process and design
a plug and play type system
an environmentally friendly operation, no need for a boiler
an automatic loading system
an internal weighing scale
a built in waste tracking system that can record and provide information regarding the waste generator, date, time, weight of waste treated
It must also be able to treat:
waste sharps such as needles, lancets, syringes, scalpels, and broken glass
human tissues or identifiable body parts (as a result of amputation)
used bandage, dressings, gloves, and other medical supplies
liquid waste from infected areas
laboratory wastes
