Detailed plans for more than 120 homes on pasture land in Mid Devon could soon secure approval.The application site concerns around 12.4 acres of land at Blundell’s Road near Tiverton.Reserved matters consent is sought for the construction of up to 122 homes, public open space, landscaping, drainage, pedestrian, cycle and vehicular links and associated infrastructure.Proposals form part of the wider land parcel for the construction of a mixed-use development of 700 homes, approximately 236,000 sq ft of employment land, a care home, primary school and neighbourhood centre. This includes associated access and egress onto Blundell’s Road.A decision on the latest application had been delayed to allow the applicant the opportunity to amend the plans and for a site visit to take place.Mid Devon District Council will discuss the application at a planning committee meeting on Wednesday (12 February).Planning is recommended to grant permission, subject to conditions.
