Committee to decide on more than 100 homes in Somerset
Plans for more than 100 homes in Somerset will go before committee today (25 February).The first application by Mr E Khodabandehloo concerns land at Thorhild, Tatworth Road, Chard.Proposed is a residential development for the construction of 94 properties, formation of vehicular access from Tatworth Road and associated works.The scheme includes 18 homes which would be affordable housing.An officer’s report for Somerset Council’s South planning committee recommends planning permission be granted, subject to the prior completion of Section 106 Planning Obligation/Agreements and the stated planning conditions.The second application brought forward by Acorn Homes seeks full planning permission for the construction of 18 homes. Also included is associated vehicular access, garaging, sustainable drainage, and landscaping. Six of the units would be affordable.The application site concerns a parcel of land, previously used for agriculture, at Lampreys Lane, South Petherton.Approve has been recommended, subject to conditions and a s106 Agreement.
