£1.5 million released for work to begin on bypass planning application
Early work is underway to start a planning application for the Middlewich Eastern Bypass.Cheshire East Council has approved a release of £1.5 million to progress technical work to allow for an application.It is expected that an application can be submitted to the planning authority by spring 2018, subject to the award of a multi-million pound grant from the Department for Transport.Cabinet will also vote on whether to authorise the executive director of Place to make arrangements for the preparation of a planning application for the preferred route option.CEC will consider the report at cabinet on Tuesday, September 12 to update the outline business case for the major road project.
