£110m Liverpool scheme to go before planners imminently
Jarron’s “gamechanging” Metalworks scheme in Liverpool, which comprises more than 400 residential units, is expected to go before planners “imminently” with the development expected to create hundreds of jobs.In January, it was revealed that the developer had lodged plans for the previously stalled scheme on Leeds Street.Comprising 406 luxury apartments and five townhouses, the £110m development will support the growth of the city’s emerging ‘Northern Quarter’.The Metalworks site, made up of two 15-storey blocks, will include a residents lounge, bar, co-working space, a cinema room, gym, a running track and stunning rooftop terrace.During the design, construction and operational phases more than 380 jobs are expected to be created.Jarron’s proposals are expected to go before city planners imminently.Will Clarke, development director at Jarron, said: “Liverpool city centre is a historic and vibrant area and our Metalworks scheme will provide high quality and much needed residential accommodation that will build on this success.”This is a game-changing residential project from Jarron, with first-class amenities for residents in an ideal location for work, leisure, travel and nightlife.”We are looking forward to the scheme progressing at pace, helping to inject new energy into a vibrant area of the city centre.”
