£117M Campbell Wharf development officially underway

Construction of the £117 million Campbell Wharf development in Milton Keynes is officially underway, according to property developer Crest Nicholson.383 new homes are being built at Campbell Wharf, with a narrowboat marina, public house, nursery and retail offering also under construction. Together, these new additions will transform a neglected area of Central Milton Keynes.When complete, the developers will have delivered 332 one- and two-bedroom apartments and 51 three-, four- and five-bedroom houses. In order to meet local demand, 30% of these homes have been earmarked for shared ownership and affordable housing.The 8.15 hectare site will also create a new marina along the banks of Grand Union Canal, providing 111 berths. The marina is expected to open in April 2019, while the first residential dwellings will be occupied in October 2019. It is thought that the development will be fully complete by 2023.
