£150m logistics scheme moves forward

Plans for a £150m logistics development at a key strategic site in Leeds have moved forward with the submission of a new planning application.PLP has submitted a reserved matters planning application for about 900,000 sq ft of space at PLP Gateway 45, Leeds, with a completed project value in excess of £150m. Subject to planning approval, PLP intends to development distribution units on the 43-acre site, with sizes ranging from 60,000 sq ft to 400,000 sq ft, on a speculative and pre-let basis. Construction is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2020.The site benefits from access to the M1 motorway via Junction 45, improving local infrastructure, housing supply and occupier amenities, and Government Enterprise Zone status.Planning and design consultancy Barton Willmore made the submission on behalf of Gateway 45 developers PLP.PLP is owned by MIRA Real Estate, Peel Group, Ivanhoé Cambridge and its senior management team.
