£155m Galliford Try job kick-starts Old Oak Common regen
Genesis Housing Association and Queens Park Rangers FC have picked Galliford Try Partnerships to deliver a £155m housing scheme in North West London.The Oaklands rental housing project is the first development being brought forward at the vast Old Oak Common site which ranks as the largest UK regeneration scheme since the London Olympics.It also represents the first step in a revenue raising plan by QPR to help fund construction of a new football stadium.Works comprise the demolition of derelict buildings to make way for a new west London neighbourhood consisting of 605 new homes, – 40% social and affordable homes – and 40,000 sq ft of commercial space.
