16 firms wins £800m Sovereign Network new-build deal

Over 3,000 homes will be built under the frameworkHousing association Sovereign Network Group has selected 16 building contractors to work on its growing new homes programme that could be worth up to £800m over four years.The appointments forms part of SNG’s ambition to deliver 25,000 new homes over the next 10 years.The contractors chosen will cover the South and South West of England including Oxfordshire, Hampshire, across to Devon and Gloucestershire.Tom Titherington, chief investment and development officer at SNG, said: “This is a crucial step towards delivering our ambitious plans for thousands of good, affordable, new homes that are desperately needed and I’m pleased we now have a framework in place with some of the best home builders in the industry.“We are a long-term business that has invested in understanding what makes a good home and place to live, so it is critical that our partners share our vision of building high quality, sustainable homes that will form thriving communities over generations.”Within the homes built SNG includes plans to replace older homes that cannot reasonably meet its customers’ needs against the Homes and Place Standard.
