300-home scheme granted consent
Construction of a new ‘garden city’ development in Cardiff has moved a step closer with councillors granting consent for almost 300 houses.A development of up to 290 properties has been approved on a parcel of land to the south of Pentrebane Road, forming the first phase of Plasdwr alongside 630 homes to the north and south of Llantrisant Road, which were approved in February.The plans were approved at a meeting of Cardiff City Council’s planning committee yesterday (15 June 2016).Lead developer Redrow now intends to start infrastructure works this summer at Llantrisant Road, with the first homes expected in spring 2017.
