34-home development set for green light

A 34-home development in Carmarthenshire has been given a boost after planners recommended it for approval.The application site consists of two separate parcels of land located to the south and east of the Dylan housing estate in Llwynhendy.Both parcels cover a combined area of approximately 4.44 acresAccording to the report, the scheme is made up of 34 semi-detached houses, including a mix of 28 two-bedroom units and six four-bedroom units, with the southerly facing roofs of the houses to have solar panels.The report, to be considered by planners reads: On balance, and after careful examination of the site and its surrounding environs, together with the representations received to date, the proposal is considered to represent an acceptable form of residential development that will be in keeping with and complement the general character and appearance of the surrounding area.Carmarthenshire’s planning committee meets to discuss the proposal on Thursday.
