39-homes Plan Recommended to Advance

A total of 39 homes planned for grassed land in Lancashire are set to pass when they go before planners.MCI Developments Ltd are behind the application for land west of Garstang Road, Barton.Car parking, landscaping and all other associated works are included in the plans.The application site is currently an area of grassed land of around three-acres in size. The former BT repeater station would be demolished for the scheme which would be 100 per cent affordable housing.Three apartment blocks are proposed, and the remainder of the homes would be terraced or semi-detached. A recommendation has been made in a report, advising councillors to grant planning permission.The document said this is subject to conditions and a section 106 agreement to secure financial contributions towards health care, education, sustainable transport and on-site affordable housing (30 per cent). Wyre Council’s planning committee will decide the application on Wednesday.
