£47m residential scheme moves forward
Plans for a £47m housing development earmarked for Preston have moved forward.THT, L&Q and Willmott Dixon created a joint venture company – Laurus Partnership Homes – to bring the project forward.Situated on D’Urton Lane, the Homes England development would comprise a mixture of two, three and four-bedroom properties and also include green space. More than half would be affordable housing, either for shared ownership or affordable rent.Outline permission has already been approved, with plans having now been submitted for the reserved matters.The reported noted that the scheme has “evolved over a number of sketches and designs”, with discussions having taken place with planners, consultants, contractors and residents.The application is set to be decided on by Preston City Council’s planning committee before the end of the year.
